Zoe Chronis (b.1984 Cincinnati, OH) uses defective video equipment and in-camera editing to record her everyday life, blurring the boundary between intention and chance. Her work has been featured in publications and screenings such as Film Diary NYC, Dizzy TV, Lino Kino, Caesura Magazine, Analog Cookbook, Light Matter Film Festival, and Peripheries Experimental Film & Video Festival. From 2014–2022 she worked for community media/public access TV in New York. She received a fellowship at The American Academy in Rome in 2012 and has attended residencies in Finland and Iceland, where she lives currently.
